ULIDs now displayed on ULink

In October, we announced to the University that CLIDs would begin phasing out in the near future and would be replaced with ULIDs. That time is quickly approaching.

Systems tied to Banner will be launching soon. The first of which will be a new and improved ULink portal that requires a ULID. This transition to a new ULink will happen in March, but in the meantime you can view your new ULID via the current ULink. You can't use it just yet. Emails with additional information about your ULID will be sent before the switch is made.

To view your ULID, log in to ULink at http://portal.louisiana.edu. In the top left corner, your ULID will appear next to your name.

That doesn't mean that CLIDs are going away just yet. The transition will be slow, and CLIDs will continue to be used to log on to computers and access files on campus for several months. Eventually, the ULID and password will be used to log on to all University systems via a single sign-on page. Once logged in, users will be able to access everything from Moodle to webmail without having to re-enter their information.
