The ERP implementation is much more than just installing new technology on campus — it's a close look at the business processes and procedures that we use every day. It's an opportunity for us to assess what works and what doesn't, and allows us to realign and change the way we do things.
Teams of UL Lafayette subject matter experts have partnered with expert Banner consultants to determine how processes will look and function moving forward. Over the course of a few years, these teams identify, evaluate, and collect all data and processes at the University and then map out a plan to rebuild our system through Banner.
The University is dedicated to using Banner as it is designed and delivered because it incorporates higher education best practices. Customizations will only be initiated if specific legal requirements cannot be met by the generic installation and implementation and/or University policy and procedure changes.
